Case Study #129: Cart

Problem: The cart has several shelves filled with electrical connectors. The application requires that the parts do not come in contact with each other as the cart is transferred in and out of the heat treat process.

Application: Pick up a large cart weighing up to 680 lbs. and transfer it in and out of a heat treat station. Carts will be raised and positioned on a pick up station 7″ higher than grade by a 2″ hook tab centered on top of the cart.

Solution: Vertical Lift Cylinder with 360° operator limited rotation and 24″ vertical lift. Custom designed ‶C″ shaped hook end-effector and 750 lbs. of tooling and payload capacity.
