Controls Systems Designer

The objective of a Controls System Designer is to design electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to interface with the mechanical material-handling solutions being proposed and sold.

Experience Required:

  • Electrical Design and Development
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Design and Development
  • New Product Design and Development
  • Schematic design
  • Programmable Logic
  • BOM creation
  • Standards compliance and testing
  • Hand-on tasks as needed
  • Review customer/marketing requirements
  • Research history for similar applications and apply if possible
  • Specify material to meet design
  • Order special materials/components
  • Inspect and troubleshoot work in progress
  • Participate in quality and departmental team meetings, trainings, in-house electrical resource, and customer visits as needed
  • Research and design new products
  • Effectively communicate and work with sales, production departments and customers

Skills Required:

  • AA Degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, EET (Electrical Engineering Tech), MET (Mechanical Engineering Tech), or BA Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • 1-3 years project management experience preferred.
  • Time management skills
  • Good written and verbal skills
