Problem:
How to safely pitch heavy rolls, varying in size from vertical to horizontal beneath a hoist.
Application:
Handle large rolls of abrasive paper from a vertical orientation to a horizontal orientation with low overhead clearance.
Solution:
Large slide gripper end-effector with dual gripping cylinders to keep the center of gravity directly beneath the hoist. Bearings and assist wheel allow 90° rotation of part. Quick disconnects on the electrical control cable and air supply hose allow the end-effector to be removed and the hoist to be used for other activities.
