Problem:
The previous solution, using dual hoist, required cumbersome tooling and excessive positioning caused hoist motors to burn out.
Application:
First application: remove part from rack, transfer to furnace, pitch part approximately 10° down and set down in furnace for heat treatment. Pick up part and place on transfer table. Second application: remove part from transfer table, place part in first pass impression and continue on to three additional cycles requiring 360° rotation.
Solution:
Simple Air Manipulator® (SAM K-96) with pedestal mount and portable base with “trap” end-effector. Special horizontal pitching end joints. Special horizontal axis assembly to allow 360° continuous rotation.
