Filter in Press Stack
Problem:
The end-effector must be able to access both sides of the aisle in the workstation. Low headroom limits available handling options.
Application:
Remove individual filters from a stack of filters along both sides of an aisle in a low headroom work cell. The filter is removed from the stack and taken to one of of the row for cleaning.
Solution:
AJF (Articulated Jib Boom) and Vertical Lift Cylinder mounted on a light rail trolley. An end-effector with a hook on each end was designed to reach between the filters and a tool bar was designed to reach across the face of the filter to position the hook on the rear.
