Problem:
Safely handle a 160 lb. warhead.
Application:
Pull warhead from tight fitting crate with zero clearance on sides and minimal on ends. Place warhead on floor and pick up again, with the ability to pitch to vertical & rotate top to bottom. Transfer part to casting cart, then to scale. Lastly, pitch down & place in metal container for transport.
Solution:
A Simple Air Manipulator® (SAM K-96) with parallel linkage mounted on an air powered trolley. Nylon padded O.D. clamp jaws with a pitching end joint and manual end-effector rotation.
