Engineering Consultation
With nearly 40 years of experience, we can meet with your project team on-site at your facility (engineering, quality control, safety, production, and operators) to clearly define the application and the expected productive output of the project.
Installation Services
Positech can supply supervised installation (turnkey or partnership) with local contracted installation personnel or your internal maintenance personnel to assure a safe, efficient installation.

Case Studies
- Industry: Agriculture, Construction, Military and Defense
- Challenge: Engine Handling
Heavy parts were being mounted to an engine on a hanging conveyor and engines are allowed to sway. Operators had to crawl under the engine to insert shields onto installed housing with only 6″ clearance.
- Industry: Automotive, Tire
- Challenge: Tire and Wheel Handling
Increase in injuries during the tire stitching process.
- Industry: Appliances, Food and Beverage, Furniture, Paper
- Challenge: Cardboard Box, Lifting
The end-effector must be mounted above the boxes, but thin enough to fit between an overhead obstruction and the top of the highest box. The operator needs to reach the controls on the end-effector when they are positioning the first bottom layer and top layer.
- Industry: Appliances, HVAC, Metal Fabrication
- Challenge: Sheet Lifting
There were a wide variety of panel sizes, weights and configurations. Panel variations include flat sheets that could only be p-icked up with a vacuum end-effector and panels with large round holes that could only be picked up with a gripper end-effector.
High torque application requiring 100mm nuts being tightened and loosened on a steel fixture. The bolts were both in vertical and horizontal orientation. The application required the operator to use heavy impact wrenches, hand wrenches, and sledgehammers. There was no ability to monitor the actual torque of the nuts and high potential for injury to the employee.
- Industry: Food and Beverage
- Challenge: Baskets - Buckets - Totes
The bucket is heavy when full and the sharp spikes presented a danger to people handling the bucket. Since the contents are liquid, spills are always a concern. Also, the manipulator must be washed down daily with hot, soapy water from a high pressure washer.
- Industry: Metal Fabrication
- Challenge: Pallet Handling
Pallets are very heavy, awkward to handle and expensive. Operators are presently using a forklift and hoist to handle parts. Machining centers have limited space and a hoist does not hold the part securely or provide precise placement control.
- Industry: Agriculture, Automotive, Construction, Military and Defense
- Challenge: Glass Handling
Safe3ly pitch heavy glass panels varying in size, weighing up to 150 lbs. up to 110°, from vertical to horizontal and rotate through the pitched horizontal axis to line up holes for installation.
